Dental Care

Probably the greatest asset is the ability to smile. How you feel about yourself is important. If your own smile gives you cause for concern, modern dentistry has many new materials and techniques that can create a beautiful smile.

White Fillings

A much more attractive way of repairing a tooth than silver amalgam. There are now many improved materials available that can be matched in colour to the tooth and will bond to the tooth surface. These improvements mean more durable fillings as well as a better appearance.

Crowns

A crown is an artificial cap which fits over a heavily filled or worn down tooth. It is a technique that allows damaged teeth to be perfectly matched with healthy teeth. The tooth must be prepared first and then the crown is fitted over it to look and feel completely natural.

Bridges

A bridge is used as a way to fill gaps made by missing teeth and is an alternative to dentures. A bridge consists of a replacement tooth or teeth, attached to crowns on either side of the gap. It is cemented or bonded permanently in place and should be looked after like natural teeth.

Veneers

Veneers can be used to mask discoloured teeth, mottling or rough enamel, straighten misshapen teeth and to close spaces between front teeth. A veneer is a very thin shell of porcelain and is permanently bonded to the surface of a tooth.

Implants

Implants are titanium cylinders inserted into the jaw bone in order to hold a crown in place. An implant can be used to replace single or multiple teeth or to secure or replace dentures.

Root Canal Treatment

Is carried out to treat infection caused by the entry of bacteria into the pulp (nerve and blood supply) of the tooth. It is often the only way to clear infection and save the tooth.

Mouthguards

Contact sports such as rugby and hockey increase the chance of damage to teeth. We can supply custom made mouthguards in a choice of colours to protect your teeth.
